Help Me Summit for Someone! This will be my first climb ever with the Summit For Someone program and I am extremely excited to be a part of this wonderful event and support the at-risk youth of Big City Mountaineers. As part of this event I will climb Mt. Shasta in Northern California. I will be accomplishing this as a member of The Benicia Firefighter's Association Summit Team, which is composed of myself and 2 other Firefighters. Rising over 14,000 feet in the Cascade Range extending into Northern California, Mt. Shasta is the second-highest volcano in the United States. We will climb the West Face (considered the most picturesque and rarely traveled of all routes) to the majestic summit of this awesome mountain. It is extremely rewarding for me to be able to support Big City Mountaineers which provides urban teenage youth with challenging, safe, outdoor experiences designed to build self-esteem and positively impact their beliefs about themselves and others. As a team, we have pledged to raise over $10,800 for this great cause. So, any donations no matter how big or small will definitely be very welcomed. Thank you, BCM and all the people who supported or will support this great organization and this exceptional cause.!!!
