Climber Information Help Me Summit for Someone! As part of Summit for Someone, I will spend four days in June climbing North Palisades Peak, which is considered one of the all time classic peaks in the Sierra Nevada range. The mountain stands tall above the Palisade Glacier, which is the southern most glacier in the contiguous United States. Its summit is 14,242 feet, making it the fourth highest mountain in California. I chose "North Pal" because it's known to be a particularly pretty climb, it will challenge me with new mountaineering skills, and it's located in my favorite place in the world-- the East Side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains-- woo hoo! My climb and the money I raise will help benefit the at-risk teens BCM serves. With your help and my summit attempt, the BCM program will reach over 300 at-risk teens nationwide. This was one of the best weekends of my life. The climb exceeded expectations in terms of challenge/satisfaction/fun. The guides were particularly outstanding.
